Flag Presentation at Ideal Products

On Tuesday, Jan. 8, Nick got all dressed up in his blues and he, Tanya, Richard and I all went to Ideal Products to present the large flag that had hung in the shop on Camp Lejeune.

President David Verhoff gathered the employees together in the shop.

Mr. Verhoff spoke a few words of introduction and explanation of where the boys had been stationed and where the flag had come from and why it was being given to Ideal Products...

Nick read the certificate prepared by Nick's Master Sergeant Burton while Richard presented the flag. The certificate reads:

"This certifies that the accompanying American Ensign presented to
the Ideal Products Team
was displayed at the Motor Transport Compound at Camp Leatherneck
from September through October 2012
by the Motor Transport Platoon, Regimental Combat Team 6
in the Helmand Province of Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom."

Then the President and the owner, Sharon Wirch, shook hands all around.

After the official presentation there was a question and answer opportunity for the employees...

...then Mr. Verhoff explained where the flag would be hung...

...which is on the wall over the quality/inspection room in the shop.

Later this month Ideal will be hosting a family event by which time the flag should be hanging. I will be sure to post pictures.

We appreciate David Verhoff and the Ideal team for their committment to excellence which ensures the safety of all military personnel who use the Oshkosh Corp. vehicles that Ideal Products makes parts for.
