Day 36 - February 5, 2011

Jim spent the day in Madison so Grandma and Grandpa could go home. They've been living in a hotel in Madison for almost a week. I stayed home and had a sewing and crafting day because I had to finish things people have asked me for. Using Richard's handkerchief bonnet as a model I made another one for a friend...

these are intended to be heirlooms. They either begin as a handkerchief for a woman's wedding and then are made into a bonnet for her child's Christening, or they begin as a bonnet for a Christening and then are saved and opened into a handkerchief to be used at the grown-up child's wedding. I love making these!

When that was done I began working on the two Christening gowns ordered by another friend.

I love making these too! What a fun day!!
If only I could find a way to make a living doing this kind of stuff...

Scripture passage of the day:
Proverbs 12:14
From the fruit of his lips a man is filled with good things
as surely as the work of his hands rewards him.
