Day 5 - January 5, 2011

We're halfway through the week, today was another fun event day! We decided to hold a "birthday" party for the boys while they were here because they'll both be gone on their actual birthdays. Even though it started snowing Jim went out and grilled ham steaks (yum!)

It was a joy to have a house full of family and friends...

Of course we sang happy birthday (Richard and Nick sang to each other)...

...then they tried to cut their own cakes.

(They tasted better than they looked at the end.)

Later some of the pets made an appearance...

Scripture passage of the day: Psalm 100: 1-3 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the LORD is God.
